The game was called off with three minutes remaining in the third quarter after a roof leak at the Wollongong Entertainment Centre.
Commissioner Jeremy Loeliger says it would be inequitable and impractical to replay the game or complete the time remaining.
Breakers owner Matt Walsh says common sense prevailed.
Both clubs can appeal the decision within 24 hours.
The Breakers now face Brisbane on Friday in a match which could decide both sides' seasons given their respective fifth and fourth placings on the ladder.
The top four make the play-offs.
