India has been fined 20 per cent of its match fee for a slow over-rate against New Zealand in their fifth and final Twenty20 cricket international.
Match referee Chris Broad decreed they were one over short of the target after time allowances were taken into consideration.
India stand-in captain Rohit Sharma pleaded guilty to the offence and accepted the proposed sanction.
The tourists were docked 40 per cent of their fee after falling two overs short in the fourth match.
However, all was not lost, given they won the series 5-nil.
