For the first time in six-years - no one has died on Canterbury roads since Christmas

Police describe it as a significant result.
They did more alcohol checkpoints, stopped more cars and gave out more tickets for offences such as wearing seatbelts, drink/drug driving, cellphone distraction and speeding.
Police are thanking Cantabrians for their patience, safety and consideration for others.
They say it's often a chaotic time with people heading on holiday and major roadworks on the go.
