The Breakers are on the hunt for the next RJ Hampton

The Breakers are on the hunt for the next RJ Hampton

Hampton joined the Breakers as part of the Australian NBL's Next Stars initiative, set up to bring future NBA players to the league early in their careers.

However, he won't see out the remainder of the season having returned home after struggling with a hip injury.

Breakers owner Matt Walsh says they're already eyeing up future stars for next season.

Hampton's likely to be selected in the first round of the 2020 NBA draft.

The Breakers' play the South East Melbourne Phoenix in their regular season-finale on Friday.
