Hundreds of thousands of young adults will be offered measles vaccinations in a new campaign.
23 million dollars is being set aside for strengthening New Zealand's immunisation system, with more money to come.
Associate Health Minister Julie Anne Genter says the public health system must be rebuilt, and the immunisation gap must be addressed.
She says about 300 thousand young adults aged 15 to 29 are not fully protected against measles.
She says the Government is determined to address under immunisation.
