    The death of a Commonwealth Games boxing champion this morning


    Jimmy Peau has died in Auckland aged 54.

    Peau came to prominence when he won the 1986 super-heavyweight gold medal in Edinburgh.

    Fighting under the name Jimmy Thunder, he went on to a professional career of 49 fights including 35 wins - 28 by knockout - and 14 losses.
