Things could be about to get even worse for Manchester City

Things could be about to get even worse for Manchester City

    - article from www.rugbyleague.co.nz

The English Premier League club has been handed a two-year-ban from Champions League football, following an investigation by competition runners UEFA

City were found to have seriously breached the competition's financial fair play rules.

The club plans to appeal the decision in the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

However the UK's Independent is reporting Premier League committees have already discussed potential penalties for breaking financial rules in its competition.

With the media outlet suggesting a points deduction is now seen as highly likely.
