Joint calls to challenge proposed changes to the Residential Tenancy Act..

Joint calls to challenge proposed changes to the Residential Tenancy Act..

The Real Estate Institute and the Property Investors' Federation say they'll work together to oppose plans to end no-cause 90-day notices

They're also against fixed term tenancies automatically becoming periodic tenancies.

The Property Investors' Federation's Andrew King says the changes indicate landlords are kicking tenants out without good reason.

But he says the no-cause notices are only used as a last resort, with Federation research showing only three-percent of tenants getting such a notice.
