    The future of the South Island's first Eagle chopper is up in the air - for now


    The police helicopter took to Christchurch skies this morning for a five-week trial.

    Police Commissioner Mike Bush says its success will be judged by a number of criteria.

    He says ultimately - it'll be judged by how much it helps staff and communities on the ground.
