Ryan Fox has essentially written-off his first experience at one of the bigger purse golf events

For the second consecutive year, the Kiwi golfer will play at the 10 and a half million dollar purse WGC tournament in Mexico.

Fox was last year forced to endure a marathon journey from Perth and only arrived the night before his first round.

He finished 11-over for the tournament in a tie for 67th.

Having arrived a few days earlier this year, Fox is looking forward to testing himself against some of the world's best.

The tournament starts early Friday morning.
