Infectious disease experts are warning the chance of New Zealand remaining coronavirus-free is low

They say it's time to start preparing for an upsurge in respiratory illnesses and pneumonia hospitalisations.
Salaried Medical Specialists executive director Sarah Dalton says health system could be put under extreme stress if COVID-19 arrives during flu season.
She says most hospitals are already at maximum capacity.
