A man's in custody after fleeing from police in West Auckland

A man's in custody after fleeing from police in West Auckland

A vehicle was spotted driving erratically in the Auckland suburb of Te Atatu just after 6.30 this morning.

Officers tried to pull the driver over but he failed to stop.

Police tracked the vehicle through CCTV cameras but didn't initiate a pursuit.

The car went through West Auckland, onto the motorway and ended up near Royal Road.

Police say the man's helping them with their enquiries.
