A Hawke's Bay woman's been found guilty of ill-treatment towards her dog resulting in death

A Hawke's Bay woman's been found guilty of ill-treatment towards her dog resulting in death

Whero's body began digesting itself after weeks of starvation.

Owner Kura Munro is under nine months supervision, can't own dogs for five years and has to pay 740 dollars in reparation.

She says she checked his water every day and he appeared fine to her until the day before he died.

SPCA CEO Andea Midgen says someone treating their pet like this is beyond comprehension.
