Kiwi schools should be well prepared to respond to coronavirus after last year's measles outbreak

Kiwi schools should be well prepared to respond to coronavirus after last year's measles outbreak

There are four confirmed coronavirus cases in New Zealand - two of which mean four Auckland schools had to be notified.

Principals' Federation president Perry Rush says last year's measles epidemic forced schools to sharpen their health responses and processes.

He says advice from Health and Education ministries for coronavirus is similar to measles - students should not be at school if they have any symptoms of a contagious disease.
