New Zealand sit 11 points clear atop the world series standings after winning the Vancouver leg and have now won three of the six events.
Laidlaw says the momentum's significant in Olympic year.
However, with the Singapore and Hong Kong legs postponed there's now a momentum gap in the schedule.
The next men's event is late May in London.
