    Police say an 18-year-old Frenchman who's been missing for over a week is meant to fly back home this weekend


    Auckland Police are appealing for sightings of Eloi Jean Rolland last seen at New Lynn's Fruitvale Road railway station about 7 30am on Saturday, March 7.

    He left his Birkenhead address on the night before, possibly heading for Piha.

    Detective Senior Sergeant Marcia Murray says his disappearance is out of character for him.

    She says Eloi came here on an exchange and has missed home.

    Police are releasing CCTV footage on the North Shore, Rodney & West Auckland Police Facebook page and are appealing to the public for information.
