Students at Victoria University halls in Wellington have just over 24 hours to head home

Students at Victoria University halls in Wellington have just over 24 hours to head home

From tomorrow, the university's closing its halls of residences, and suspending all teaching until late April.

Just one hall will stay open for students who have nowhere to go.

He says the university is suspending all accommodation contracts today, and students won't be charged going forward.

Other universities - like Otago - are choosing to keep all residential halls open.
