    A man killed after a police pursuit through Otago has been named


    He was 32-year-old Christopher Blair - of Dunedin.

    Around 6.30 on Saturday morning - police received reports of a car driving dangerously in Waimate.

    They tracked down the car near Alma - but the driver fled.

    Police quickly gave up the chase - but later found the vehicle crashed on Oamaru's Wansbeck Street.

    Blair died at the scene - and police say a second occupant was airlifted to hospital.
