Yesterday Police Commissioner Mike Bush said people can drive somewhere close to home for exercise.
But one (Newstalk ZB) caller was told by police today he should not have taken the four to five minute drive to Bottle Lake Forest in Christchurch.
Civil Defence Emergency Management director Sarah Stuart-Black says you can drive a short distance to exercise.
But she says people should not drive to a place where, if they get into trouble ... someone else will have to come help them.
She says that increases the risk of spreading the virus.
Director-General of Health Dr Ashley Bloomfield says you can go to the beach if you're sensible, and can stay separate from others.
