Pregnant women are being advised to talk to their midwives if they have concerns around COVID-19

Pregnant women are being advised to talk to their midwives if they have concerns around COVID-19

New Zealand has 83 new cases, taking the total of confirmed and probable cases to 451.

12 people are in hospital, and two are in intensive care - with one person on a ventilator.

A Ministry of Health spokesperson says routine and urgent visits with a midwife are still necessary during lockdown.

The spokesperson says midwives will do as much of the consultation as possible over the phone or by video conferencing.
