Ed Sheeran's local cafe has a bottle of Heinz tomato ketchup reserved just for the singer

The 29-year-old singer is an avid fan of the popular brand's ketchup, and to make sure there's always enough in stock when he visits his local cafe - The Dancing Goat Cafe in Framlingham, Suffolk - staff have placed a special bottle within a glass box only to be used for Ed

The glass box even has a label on which reads "In case of Ed Sheeran", and the bottle inside is only ever used when the 'Perfect' hitmaker pops in.

One local explained to the Sunday Mirror newspaper's Watts the Goss column: "Ed is a family friend so the owners of the Dancing Goat are very protective of him.

"He really likes to be treated like just another customer and often will pop in for a coffee or a milkshake, which he adores.

"But when he has something to eat, the ketchup is always there for him. It's become a bit of standing joke.

"His love of tomato ketchup is absolutely genuine. He often says that his greatest fear in life is running out.

"The sauce bottle in the glass case is an obvious talking point. Everyone who visits the cafe for the first time asks about it.

"A lot of people come to the cafe hoping to catch a glimpse of Ed and sometimes he gets asked for an autograph.

"But most of the locals are pretty cool about having a world-famous pop star drinking cappuccinos in their local coffee shop."

Ed's special ketchup comes after he previously joined forces with Heinz to release a limited edition "Tomato Edchup", in which the tomato on the sauce's label donned glasses and a fringe to resemble the 'Castle on the Hill' singer.

Three bottles of the sauce were signed by Ed himself, and were auctioned off to raise money for East Anglia's Children's Hospices (EACH) and Rise Against Hunger, and generated £3,650.
