A woman has been charged with common assault after allegedly punching a Countdown Warkworth supermarket manager in the face, while queuing to get into the store.
Countdown's health and safety general manager Kiri Hannifin says it's an unprecedented time for everyone -- but that isn't an excuse to be abusive.
She says her staff are experiencing the same amount of stress and anxiety as everyone else, and it's unacceptable to shop and be unkind to staff when they're doing their very best.
