More than a fifth of the population are set to benefit from the Government's wage subsidy scheme

More than a fifth of the population are set to benefit from the Government's wage subsidy scheme

Finance Minister Grant Robertson says latest estimates indicate that around 10-billion dollars will be paid out to assist more than one million New Zealanders.

He says it's an important way of keeping employees and employers attached to each other.

Robertson says it gives a lot of flexibility for employers to be able to keep staff in jobs, when we move out of level four.
