    A man has been jailed for three months after spitting at Police in New Plymouth this morning


    Police were called to complaints the man had been on several private properties earlier today, and when they arrived - he spat at the officers.

    He today pleaded guilty to charges of aggravated assault on Police in New Plymouth District Court.

    Police say in the current environment, spitting is considered a serious health risk and will not be tolerated.
