Police continue to investigate a serious fleeing driver incident in Manurewa last Friday

The male driver is in a stable but critical condition in hospital, and a female passenger is in a stable condition.

A police dog handler was discharged from hospital yesterday, after surgery for a broken femur.

His dog was unharmed.

The incident, which saw a police vehicle crashed into, remains under investigation, with police yet to rule out charges being made.
