The nurse has been caring for Covid patients at Wellington Hospital .
Capital and Coast DHB chief executive Fionnagh Dougan says the nurse last worked on Monday 6th April and felt fine.
She says no patients have been exposed, and everyone the nurse is likely to have come into contact with is well.
Regional Public Health is now working with the nurse to trace community contacts.
