Auckland Council's being asked to fill some gaps as retailers take a hit from Covid-19

The Newmarket and Parnell business associations say government support doesn't cover everything.
They're anticipating some businesses won't re-open - and there might not be anyone willing to fill vacant spaces.
Newmarket Business Association chief Mark Knoff-Thomas says trade in the suburb had just started ramping up after a period of disruption with the Westfield mall rebuild.
He says they had been expecting a strong couple of financial quarters.
