Countdown has fast tracked a new store in Hamilton to meet online shopping demands

The Rototuna store - opening a month earlier than scheduled - is initially solely focused on delivering contactless groceries using Countdown's Pick Up service to help in the covid-19 pandemic.

Countdown's Sally Copland says they have a Drive Thru service where customers have their groceries brought from the store to their boot - something they may utilize elsewhere.

She says stores will review their layouts and figure out if they can provide dedicated Drive Thru parking - they will do so.
