Calls for motorists, cyclists and pedestrians to slow down around Wellington's south coast

Calls for motorists, cyclists and pedestrians to slow down around Wellington's south coast

It comes ahead of a temporary 30 kilometre per hour speed limit on sections of the road between Breaker Bay and Owhiro Bay.

The request comes from the Wellington City Council, which says there have been a number of near misses, since the Covid-19 lockdown began.

The Council anticipates the temporary speed reduction will be in place during alert levels 3 and 2.
