An English rugby writer believes Agustin Pichot will need a miracle if he's to oust Sir Bill Beaumont for the role of World Rugby chairman.

Voting is underway, with Beaumont likely to have the upper hand because of the backing he should receive from the Six Nations unions.

They hold 18 of the 51 votes between them.

U.K. journalist Chris Jones says Pichot's campaign has a flaw if he's trying to convince some European unions to back him.



Blair Tuke's happy to have some clarity around the rest of his year considering the Covid-19 pandemic.

The world and Olympic champion sailor won't be allowed on the water when the country goes to alert level three in either his 49er or Team New Zealand boat.

Tuke's spent lockdown at home in Kerikeri, after the Tokyo Olympics were postponed and the America's Cup world series regatta in Cagliari in Sardinia was cancelled.

Tuke says he'll have a more domestic plan until at least the end of the year.
