Progress continues on a contact tracing phone application for New Zealand

Australia has launched its own voluntary one -- which is similar to one developed by the Singaporean Government.
Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern says it's important to note, an app isn't a replacement for human contact tracing.
She says it requires a large number of the population to opt in -- and even then, health authorities would still have to verify possible contact.
Horizon Research data suggests 73 per cent of New Zealanders support personal mobile data being used for COVID-19 tracking.
