Some clarification for Aucklanders who are misjudging an Auckland Transport initiative

To assist with safe physical distancing, Auckland Transport have sectioned off areas of road for makeshift cycleways and walkways.
But some people have misunderstood this, thinking carparks are being blocked off to prevent people travelling to cafes and stores.
Auckland Transport chair Adrienne Young-Cooper wants residents to be safe through the different Covid-19 alert levels when walking and cycling.
The new walking and cycling measures are being installed across the city - including Ponsonby Rd, Queen St, Oteha Valley Rd and in the Mangere town centre.
