Tania Hadley was killed at her Mount Roskill property last Friday morning.
29-year-old Damien Chandler appeared in court this morning via video link, charged with her murder.
Hadley's son, Deon Johnson-Hadley, has told the Herald police made him stand at a cordon for an hour and a half, before he was told anything.
He has described his mum as hard working, caring.
He says she worked as a team leader for a courier company.
