A decision on whether to drop down to Alert Level Two will be announced after Monday's Cabinet meeting.
The number of new coronavirus cases remains low, with only one new case yesterday.
Otago University Infectious Disease Expert Ayesha Verrall says it's reassuring.
She says contact tracing and testing has been very good - but we aren't at a lower alert level yet because of the 14-day incubation period since we dropped to Level 3.
