An explosive fire in a maintenance shed has brought a greyhound racing meeting in south Auckland to a shocking end
10 May 2020
The maintenance shed caught fire and then its sides blew out just after the eighth of 10 scheduled races was run at the Manukau track, where the club races almost every Sunday
But Auckland Greyhound Racing Club officials say no person or dog was injured.
With the meeting operating under level three restrictions there were no members of the public on course.
The club still doesn't know the cause.
