Sport New Zealand has confirmed the the 10 person gatherings limit does apply to all community sport.
It means teams with more than 10 players, including coaching staff, can't train as a whole group, but will instead be limited to groups of 10 or smaller.
The 10 person limit on gatherings will be reviewed on May 25.
The rules don't apply to Super Rugby or ANZ netball premiership teams, as they are considered work places.
