Minister Grant Robertson says sports, especially at a community level, are under huge strain.
83 million has been earmarked for short-term relief across all levels, while as part of a four year response the government will invest a further 104 million for national and regional organisations to adjust to new operating models.
78 million will be set aside for innovation that takes sport into the future.
