    We're part of the global community.. so it makes sense we contribute to international efforts to find a vaccine for Covid-19


    Up to 15 million dollars has been earmarked for local scientists to collaborate on global research, and 10 million will support research here.

    Associate Professor James Ussher says the Government's strategy is a wise one.

    He says the first vaccine that's developed may not necessarily be the one that ends up being the best - so we need to be pushing multiple doors.
