The British Grand Prix had been scheduled for late August at the Silverstone Circuit and the Australian Grand Prix was set to be staged at Phillip Island in October.
It's the first time in the Championship's 70-year history there will be no race in the British Isles.
The series plans to begin in Spain in July.
