A new vape promising users "a sense of relaxation" and an intake of vitamins, is raising concerns with experts

A new vape promising users "a sense of relaxation" and an intake of vitamins, is raising concerns with experts

Health researchers say the vapes, marketed as herbal inhalers, are being targeted at young women on Instagram.

University of Otago Health professor Janet Hoek says images of slim women in active wear are used in the advertising, which associates the product with health.

She says claims like these could make people less likely to look at health changes they could make in their lifestyle.

The company is questioning why it should market without any branding when it's not selling cigarettes.
