The Sunwolves have been officially put out to Super Rugby pasture

The Japanese franchise and Rugby Australia have concluded the Sunwolves will be unable to participate in the Australian-conference only competition due to start in July.
Travel restrictions mean like the NRL's Warriors, the Sunwolves would have to quarantine for a two week period, if allowed to enter the country and then find a permanent base for the 12-week competition.
It's been decided that isn't feasible.
The Sunwolves weren't part of the planned 2021 revamp of Super Rugby, which now looks in serious doubt.
