People with work visas are next on the list to be able to return to New Zealand

People with work visas are next on the list to be able to return to New Zealand

Today, the Government announced some changes to border restrictions.

They've made it easier for the partners and children of New Zealand citizens and residents to return here, and some workers will be allowed in - if their skills absolutely cannot be found in New Zealand.

Immigration Minister Iain Lees-Galloway says people with work visas are the next priority... but first, the Government needs to expand quarantine capacity.

He says up to 250 people can arrive in New Zealand per day.

He says there will be some spaces made available for those who are a high priority.
