England rugby coach Eddie Jones is grateful to still be at the helm of one of rugby's 'poisoned chalice' jobs.

Jones took over the role after the 2015 Rugby World Cup, guiding England to the final of last year's tournament in Japan.

Jones says he didn't think he would stay beyond four years.

New Zealand Football has extended the contract of Football Ferns head coach Tom Sermanni until August next year.

It will see Sermanni guide the Ferns throughout the 2021 Tokyo Olympic Games.

Since taking over the role in October 2018, Sermanni has successfully qualified the Football Ferns for the 2019 FIFA women's World Cup and next year's Olympics, and guided them to notable wins over England and Norway.

Highlanders replacement Bryn Gatland landed a 78th minute drop goal to earn his side a 28-27 win over the Chiefs in Dunedin.
