Meanwhile, Damian McKenzie expects the game of rugby to benefit from changes to the breakdown laws.
Referees for Super Rugby Aotearoa are officiating rucks more strictly, encouraging quicker play and a more free-flowing game.
McKenzie says like all things, they'll take time.
