Invercargill's Gateway Solutions - also known as Silberhorn - has been fined 194-thousand in the Dunedin District Court - for misrepresenting its deer velvet products.
Commerce commission chair Anna Rawlings says the packaging lead consumers to believe the premium products were 100 percent deer velvet.
But she says they were topped up with carob - a much cheaper manufacturing aid.
Rawlings says consumers have a right to know what they're putting into their bodies - and are entitled to trust product labels are accurate.
