A man who tested positive for Covid-19 is in a stable condition at Auckland City Hospital

A man who tested positive for Covid-19 is in a stable condition at Auckland City Hospital

He's one of the four new cases announced today, all of whom are people who recently returned from overseas.

He arrived into the country on the 24th of June and was isolating at the Haka Hotel in Auckland.

Following the onset of symptoms, he was taken to Hospital last night, and was tested for the virus.

The Ministry of Health says staff followed the appropriate safety protocols, and are not considered to be close contacts.

They're assuring people that the hospital continues to be safe for patients, visitors and staff.
