A Christchurch based aviation company is flying against the tourism downturn after buying Nelson's Tasman Helicopters

A Christchurch based aviation company is flying against the tourism downturn after buying Nelson's Tasman Helicopters

GCH Aviation Group paid an undisclosed sum for the business to expand its scenic and commercial services throughout New Zealand and the Pacific.

Chief executive Andrew Currie says they began the buying process before Covid 19, but could see it fitted in with their future direction in the premium tourist market.

GCH says it will add its reach to Tasman's coastal environment, luxury lodges and Abel Tasman national park.
