The Warehouse has confirmed details of its proposed restructure
20 July 2020
Workers around the country were called to a meeting at 8am, to outline the restructure.
The Warehouse Group says if it proceeds, it will see a reduction of up to 320 full time equivalent roles.
That could affect 500-750 team members, when it includes part time, fixed term and casual roles.
The company says there won't be any reduction to pay, with all staff due to receive another wage increase soon under a collective agreement.
The retail giant says the proposed changes are not related to the changes at head office and do not include Noel Leeming or Warehouse Stationery.
They are also not related to the proposed closure of The Warehouse stores at Dunedin Central, Johnsonville and Whangaparaoa.
It's proposed the Dunedin Central store will close to customers, but will remain in use as an online fulfilment centre.
