Staff were told this morning the equivalent of 320 full time jobs will likely go - as a result of reduced store hours and rostering.
First Union general secretary Dennis Maga says the company's been reviewing the business for years, and the pandemic has accelerated progress on an 'agile' system meaning workers lose out.
A separate proposal is also being worked through on completely closing four stores - which the First Union claims would see the additional loss of 137 jobs.
One worker speaking anonymously says this isn't about Covid, or what's good for staff, and they could feel change coming well before the pandemic.
