A boost to Nelson, Marlborough and Blenheim, with 53-million dollars being pumped into a range of projects

A boost to Nelson, Marlborough and Blenheim, with 53-million dollars being pumped into a range of projects

The Government says the ventures will create jobs and make the top of the South Island an even more attractive place to live, work and visit.

Loans and investments will help develop things like a cycling and walking trail from Picton to Kaikoura, a national wine centre in Blenheim, and software for unmanned airfreight operations.

The money comes from the Provincial Growth Fund and the shovel-ready projects fund.
